shall become trunk roads as from the date when this Order comes into force.
2.
The centre lines of the new trunk roads are indicated by heavy black lines and the associated side roads proposals are indicated by broken white lines on the deposited plan.
3.
The National Assembly directs as respects any part of a highway which crosses the route of any of the new trunk roads that -
until, in either case, a date to be specified in a notice given by the National Assembly to the highway authority for that highway. The date specified will not be later than the date on which the relevant route is opened for the purpose of through traffic.

The lengths of trunk road described in Schedule 4 to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk roads and shall be classified as shown in that Schedule as from the date on which the National Assembly notifies the County Councils of Rhondda Cynon Taff and Blaenau Gwent that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

The National Assembly is authorised to construct the bridge specified in Schedule 5 to this Order as part of the main new trunk road over the navigable watercourse specified in that Schedule.

In this Order:
(1) All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

This Order shall come into force on the 8th of October 1999 and may be cited as the Neath to Abergavenny Trunk Road (A465) (Abergavenny to Hirwaun Dualling and Slip Roads) and East of Abercynon to East of Dowlais Trunk Road (A4060), Cardiff to Glan Conwy Trunk Road (A470) (Connecting Roads) Order 1999.

LENGTHS OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD | CLASSIFICATION |
(i) that length starting at a point approximately 300 metres south west of the agricultural underpass at Waun Rydd, Garn Lydan (marked as AA on the deposited plan at site plan No. 4) extending in general south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 4.3 kilometres and including both the Rassau and Ebbw Vale roundabouts to a point 660 metres south west of the centrepoint of the Rassau roundabout (marked BB on the deposited plan at site plan No. 5) |

(ii) that length starting at a point approximately 140 metres west of the centrepoint of the existing roundabout at Trewaun (marked CC on the deposited plan at site plan No. 11) extending in general north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 1.1 kilometres to points where the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the trunk road connect with the south and east of the Rhigos roundabout at Hirwaun Ponds (marked DD and EE respectively on the deposited plan at site plan No. 11) |
