Mae Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru, drwy arfer y pwerau a roddwyd i'r Ysgrifennydd Gwladol gan adran 216(2) o Ddeddf Diwygio Addysg 1988[1] ac sydd bellach wedi'u rhoi i Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru[2] drwy hyn yn gwneud y Gorchymyn canlynol:
1.
- (1) Enw'r Gorchymyn hwn yw Gorchymyn Addysg (Cyrff sy'n Cael eu Rhestru) (Cymru) 2002 a daw i rym ar 9 Gorffennaf 2002.
(2) Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn gymwys i Gymru yn unig.

Mae'r cyrff a bennir yn yr Atodlen i'r Gorchymyn hwn yn cynnwys yr holl gyrff hynny sy'n dod o fewn adran 216(3) o Ddeddf Diwygio Addysg 1988, yn nhyb Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru.
3.
Mae Gorchymyn Addysg (Cyrff sy'n Cael eu Rhestru) 1999[3] yn cael ei ddiddymu mewn perthynas â Chymru.

Mae pob prifysgol, coleg neu gorff arall a awdurdodwyd gan Siarter Brenhinol neu gan Ddeddf Seneddol i roi graddau a phob corff arall y rhoddwyd caniatâd iddo gan y cyrff hyn i weithredu ar eu rhan i roi graddau, yn gorff sy'n cael ei gydnabod o fewn adran 214(2)(a) a (b) o Ddeddf Diwygio Addysg 1988 ("corff sy'n cael ei gydnabod").
Mae'r graddau a roddir gan gorff sy'n cael ei gydnabod yn "wobrwyon sy'n cael eu cydnabod" ac nid yw adran 214(1) o'r Ddeddf, sy'n ei gwneud yn dramgwydd i unrhyw un roi neu gyhoeddi gwahoddiad mewn perthynas â graddau a gwobrwyon nad ydynt yn cael eu cydnabod, yn gymwys iddynt.
Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn rhestru enw pob corff nad yw'n gorff sy'n cael ei gydnabod, ond mae'n gorff sydd naill ai -
(a) yn darparu unrhyw gwrs sy'n arwain at radd sydd i'w roi gan gorff sy'n cael ei gydnabod ac sy'n cael ei gymeradwyo gan neu ar ran y corff hwnnw; neu
(b) yn goleg, ysgol, neuadd neu sefydliad arall sy'n rhan o brifysgol sy'n gorff sy'n cael ei gydnabod.
Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn diweddaru ac yn disodli'r rhestr o gyrff yng Ngorchymyn Addysg (Cyrff sy'n Cael eu Rhestru) 1999, sy'n cael ei ddiddymu. Mae'n ychwanegu rhestr newydd, yn Rhan III o'r Atodlen, o sefydliadau sy'n cynnig cyrsiau sy'n arwain at radd sylfaenol yn unig. (Mae nifer o'r sefydliadau sy'n cael eu cynnwys yn Rhan I ac sy'n cynnig cyrsiau sy'n arwain at radd hefyd yn cynnig cyrsiau sy'n arwain at radd sylfaenol). Mae'n hepgor nifer o sefydliadau a oeddent ar y rhestr yn flaenorol, ac sydd bellach wedi'u hawdurdodi i roi graddau o dan adran 76 o Ddeddf Addysg Bellach ac Uwch 1992 (p.13), ac o dan adran 48 o Ddeddf Addysg Bellach ac Uwch (yr Alban) 1992 (p.37), ac sydd wedi'u rhestru yn awr yng Ngorchymyn Addysg (Cyrff sy'n cael eu Cydnabod) (Cymru) 2002 (O.S. 2002/1661 (Cy.157)). Mae hefyd yn hepgor nifer o sefydliadau eraill a oedd ar y rhestr yn flaenorol ond nad ydynt bellach wedi'u dilysu gan gorff sy'n cael ei gydnabod, yn ychwanegu nifer o sefydliadau sydd bellach yn gyrff sy'n cael eu rhestru yn rhinwedd trefniadau newydd i'w dilysu ac yn ymgorffori mân ddiwygiadau a newid enwau.
