The School Governors' Annual Reports (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

  Made 6th July 2004 
  Coming into force 1st September 2004 

The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 42(1) and (2) and 138(7) and (8) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998[1] and now vested in the National Assembly for Wales[2]:

Name, commencement and application
     1.  - (1) These Regulations are called the School Governors' Annual Reports (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and come into force on 1st September 2004.

    (2) These Regulations apply to Wales.

Amendment of Regulations
    
2.  - (1) The School Governors' Annual Reports (Wales) Regulations 2001[3] are amended as follows.

    (2) In regulation 2 insert the following definitions in the appropriate alphabetical order  - 

    (3) In regulation 3 for the words "the Schedule" substitute the words "Schedules 1 and 2".

    (4) In regulation 6(1)(a) - 

    (5) The Schedule is renumbered as Schedule 1.

    (6) Replace paragraph 6 of the renumbered Schedule 1 with - 

    (7) Omit paragraph 7 of the renumbered Schedule 1.

    (8) After the renumbered Schedule 1 insert the following -

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations amend the School Governors' Annual Reports (Wales) Regulations 2001. Regulation 2 inserts some new definitions and also inserts a new Schedule 2 prescribing the information about examination results and vocational qualifications that governing bodies are required to publish in their annual reports.
