AGRICULTURAL WAGES

The Agricultural Wages Committee (Wales) Order 2007

  Made 14 February 2007 
  Coming into force 1 March 2007 

The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the Agricultural Wages Act 1948[1], makes the following Order:

Title, commencement, application and interpretation
     1. The title of this Order is the Agricultural Wages Committee (Wales) Order 2007, it comes into force on 1 March 2007 and applies in relation to Wales.

Amendment of the Agricultural Wages Committees (Areas) Order 1974
    
2. The Agricultural Wages Committees (Areas) Order 1974[2] is amended as follows:



Signed on behalf of the National Assembly for Wales under section 66(1) of the Government of Wales Act 1998[3]

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order establishes one agricultural wages committee for the combination of all the counties in Wales by making the necessary amendments to the Agricultural Wages Committees (Areas) Order 1974.

[1] 1948 c. 47. Section 2(1) of the 1948 Act was amended by section 149 of the Government of Wales Act 1998 (c.38). By virtue of article 2(a) of, and Schedule 1 to, the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672) the functions exercisable under section 2(1) of the 1948 Act were transferred to the National Assembly for Wales in so far as exercisable in relation to Wales.back
