The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the National Assembly for Wales by section 181 of the Education Act 2002(1) and now exercisable by them(2), make the following Regulations:

Title, commencement and application

1.–(1) The title of these Regulations is the Education Maintenance Allowances (Wales) (Revocation) Regulations 2009.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 24 April 2009 and apply in relation to Wales.

Revocation

2. The Education Maintenance Allowances (Wales) Regulations 2007(3) are revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations revoke the Education Maintenance Allowances (Wales) Regulations 2007.
