The Welsh Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 30(2) of the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019(1).
1.-(1) The title of this Order is the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2019.
(2) In this Order, "the Act" means the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019.
2. 1 September 2019 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act-
(a)sections 1 to 19;
(b)sections 21 to 29;
(c)Schedule 1; and
(d)Schedule 2.

This Order is the first commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 ("the Act").
Article 2 of this Order commences certain provisions of the Act on 1 September 2019. Sections 30 and 31 come into force on the day after the Act receives Royal Assent.
