AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY REMOVING THEREFROM THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE DAY OF A GENERAL ELECTION SHOULD BE PROCLAIMED A PUBLIC HOLIDAY. |

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— |

Cesser of holiday for general election. |
1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion from Article 28 thereof of the words "and shall be proclaimed a public holiday." |

2.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 3) Act 1927 . |
