AN ACT TO AMEND THE POLICE FORCES AMALGAMATION ACT, 1925. |

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— |
||
| The Act of 1925. |
1.—In this Act— |
|
|
the expression "the Act of 1925" means the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 ( No. 7 of 1925 ). |
||
| Amendment of Third Schedule to Act of 1925. |
2.—The Third Schedule to the Act of 1925 is hereby amended by— |
|
|
( a ) the deletion of the reference to Inspectors and the substitution of the following- "Inspectors, of whom there shall be not more than ninety", |
||
|
( b ) the deletion of the reference to Station Sergeants and the substitution of the following— "Station Sergeants, of whom there shall be not more than seventy". |
||
| Short title and collective citation. |
3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Gárda Síochána Act, 1945. |
|
|
(2) The Gárda Síochána Acts, 1923 to 1937, and this Act may be cited together as the Gárda Síochána Acts, 1923 to 1945. |
