ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS

1 Amendment of Prisons Act, 1972.

2 Short title and collective citation.

AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE PRISONS ACT, 1972 .

[26th May, 1977]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:

1.— Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1972 , is hereby amended by the substitution for subsection (1) of the following subsection:

"(1) This section shall continue in operation until the 31st day of May, 1980.".

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Prisons Act, 1977 .

(2) The Prisons Acts, 1826 to 1974, and this Act may be cited together as the Prisons Acts, 1826 to 1977.
