S.I. No. 282/1953:

MILLING LICENCES (TIMES FOR MAKING RETURNS) REGULATIONS, 1953.

MILLING LICENCES (TIMES FOR MAKING RETURNS) REGULATIONS, 1953.

I, SEAN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 31 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These regulations may be cited as the Milling Licences (Times for Making Returns) Regulations, 1953.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these regulations.

3. The returns to be made under Article 4 of the Milling Licences (Returns) Regulations, 1933 ( S. R. & O. No. 81 of 1933 ), shall, for the cereal year beginning on the 1st day of September, 1953, and subsequent years, be made in respect of each period indicated in the Schedule hereto within the seven days next following the end of such period and the said Article 4 shall be modified accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

A.--When the first day of the cereal year falls on a Sunday.

(1) the period of 5 weeks commencing on the first day of the cereal year,

(2) the period comprising the next succeeding 4 weeks

B.--When the first day of the cereal year falls on any other day of the week:

(1) the period from the first day of the cereal year to the next succeeding Saturday,

(2) the period comprising the next succeeding 4 weeks
