I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 89 of the Transport Act, 1944 (No. 21 of 1944), hereby order as follows :-- |
||
1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Transport Act, 1944 (Alteration of Maximum Railway Charges of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company) Order, 1956. |
||
(2) The Transport Act, 1944 (Alteration of Maximum Railway Charges of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company) Order, 1951 ( S.I. No. 287 of 1951 ) and this Order may be cited together as the Transport Act, 1944 (Alteration of Maximum Railway Charges of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company) Orders, 1951 and 1956. |

2.--(1) Each maximum charge specified, or calculated in accordance with a rate specified, in the Schedule to the Transport Act, 1944 (Alteration of Maximum Railway Charges of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company) Order, 1951 (S.I. No. 287 of 19511), is hereby increased by twenty-three and threequarters per cent., any fraction of a penny in the result that is less than a halfpenny being ignored and any such fraction that is a halfpenny or more being reckoned as a penny. |

(2) The Transport Act, 1944 (Alteration of Maximum Railway Charges of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company) Order, 1953 ( S.I. No. 122 of 1953 ), is hereby revoked and paragraph (1) of this Article shall have effect as if that Order had not been made. |

(3) This Article shall come into operation on the 10th day of April, 1956. |
||
