Made by the Minister for Finance

I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 48 of the Finance Act 2001 ( No. 7 of 2001 ), hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Finance Act 2001 (Section 48) (Commencement) Order 2002.

2.          Section 48 of the Finance Act 2001 ( No. 7 of 2001 ) is deemed to have come into operation on 6 April 2001.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order appoints 6th April, 2001 as the date for the coming into operation of section 48 of the Finance Act, 2001 . That section provides for an extension from 6 April 2001 until 31 December 2002 of the 100 per cent scheme of stock relief for certain young trained farmers.
