NATIONAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ACT 2003 (Section 5) ORDER 2003

I, John O'Donoghue, Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 of the National Tourism Development Authority Act 2003 ( No. 10 of 2003 ), hereby order as follows:

1.        This Order may be cited as the National Tourism Development Authority Act 2003 (Section 5) Order 2003.

2.        The 28^th day of May, 2003 is appointed as the day on which the repeals effected by section 5 of the National Tourism Development Authority Act 2003 ( No. 10 of 2003 ) come into operation.

This order appoints the 28^th day of May 2003 as the day on which the repeals effected by section 5 of the National Tourism Development Authority Act 2003 ( No. 10 of 2003 ) come into operation.

The purpose of the National Tourism Development Authority Act, 2003, is to establish a statutory body to promote tourism and the development of tourism facilities and services in Ireland. Section 5 provides for the repeal of certain provision of the Tourist Traffic Acts relating to the corporate governance of Bord Fáilte éireann Ltd, whose functions are subsumed by the new Authority.
