REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT 1863 (SECTION 17 AND SECTION 18) (LIMERICK AND CLARE) ORDER 2004.

REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT 1863 (SECTION 17 AND SECTION 18) (LIMERICK AND CLARE) ORDER 2004.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 17 and Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (Limerick and Clare) Order 2004.

2. The existing Registrars’ Districts of Limerick, Limerick Rural and South Clare shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Limerick.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 18th day of January 2004.

GIVEN under my hand at Oifig an ArdChláraitheora, Joyce House, Lombard Street East, Dublin 2, this 14th day of January 2004.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Registrars' Districts in the functional area of the Mid-Western Health Board, so as to reduce the number of Districts in that area.
