BORD ARD-MHÚSAEM NA HÉIREANN (ESTABLISHMENT DAY) ORDER 2005

I, John O'Donoghue T.D., Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9 of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 ( No. 11 of 1997 ) and the Arts and Culture (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 302 of 2002 ) (as adapted by the Tourism, Sport and Recreation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 309 of 2002 )), hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Bord Ard-Mhúsaem na hÉireann (Establishment Day) Order 2005.

2.         The 3^rd day of May 2005 is appointed as the Museum establishment day for the purposes of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 (No. 11 of 1997).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order appoints the day of the 3^rd of May 2005 as the Museum establishment day on which the provisions of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 (No. 11 of 1997) which will give effect to the establishment of Bord Ard-Mhúsaem na hÉireann to perform the functions conferred on it by or under this Act will come into effect.
