The State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 4) and Appointed Day Order (Northern Ireland) 2003

The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 21(2) of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002[1] and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 4) and Appointed Day Order (Northern Ireland) 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order brings into operation on 6th October 2003 those provisions of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 ("the Act") which are not already in operation and appoints that day as "the appointed day" for the purposes of section 13 of the Act (transitional provisions).

This Order does not impose a charge on business.

NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The following provisions of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 have been brought into operation by -

the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002 (S.R. 2002 No. 366 (C. 31)),

the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 (S.R. 2003 No. 29 (C. 2)), and

the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 (S.R. 2003 No. 211 (C. 17)).
