ROAD TRAFFIC

The M11 Motorway (Junction 4 Northbound, Redbridge) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2004

  Made 29th January 2004 
  Laid before Parliament 9th February 2004 
  Coming into force 3rd March 2004 

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17(2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 134(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the M11 Motorway (Junction 4 Northbound, Redbridge) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 3rd March 2004.

Imposition of speed limit
    
2.  - (1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on any specified length of carriageway on the M11 from Junction 4 northbound.

    (2) In this regulation "specified length of carriageway" means -

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations impose a maximum speed limit of 50 miles per hour when driving any motor vehicle on the M11 motorway for a 1,000 metre length on the northbound carriageway at Junction 4 and on the total length of the two entry slip roads from the A406 North Circular Road to that motorway.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the costs of business.
