Office of Communications Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) and Communications Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2004

  Made 8th June 2004 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 411(2) of the Communications Act 2003[1] hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
     1. This Order may be cited as the Office of Communications Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) and Communications Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2004.

Amendment of commencement order
    
2. Article 4 of the Office of Communications Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) and Communications Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2003[2] shall be amended by omitting paragraph (3).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order further amends the Office of Communications Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) and Communications Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2003 ("the principal Order".)

By virtue of article 4(3) of the principal Order, sections 299 (so far as not already in force) and 300 of the Communications Act 2003 were due to come into force on 30th June 2004. Article 2 of this Order omits article 4(3) from the principal Order so that no date is appointed for the commencement of those provisions of the Act. Section 299(2) of the Act came into force on 29th December 2003 by virtue of article 3(1) of, and Schedule 1 to, the principal Order.
