EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations, made in exercise of the power in section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, revoke regulation 3(3) of the Iraq (United Nations Sanctions) Order 2000 (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and insert into the Iraq (United Nations Sanctions) Order 2000 a provision with the same effect as that which was to have been inserted by regulation 3(3).

Regulation 3(3) is revoked and replaced because the provision it inserted into the Iraq (United Nations Sanctions) Order 2000 was incorrectly numbered.
