Eastern Regional Health Authority (Tenure of Office of Regional Chief Executive) Order, 2002

The Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister by section 14(1) of the Health (Amendment) (No.3) Act, 1996 (No. 32 of 1996) (as adapted by the Health (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 308 of 1997 )), hereby orders as follows: -

1.         This order may be cited as the Eastern Regional Health Authority (Tenure of Office of Regional Chief Executive) Order, 2002

2.         It is hereby prescribed that -

(a)      The prescribed period, for the purposes of paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section 14 of the Health (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1996 ( No. 32 of 1996 ), as it relates to the Eastern Regional Health Authority, shall be 2 years with the option of a renewal, with Ministerial approval, up to a maximum of a further 5 years.

(b)      The prescribed age, for the purposes of paragraph (b) of that subsection, shall be the date on which the person attains 65 years of age.
